More ways that Hydrathletics helps.

Fascial Stretch Therapy

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is table-based, assisted stretching that targets fascia, the body's connective tissue network supporting muscles and joints, as opposed to individual muscles. It's all about releasing tension, enhancing mobility, and easing chronic discomfort in a comfortable pain-free environment.

A fascial stretch therapist stretches a clients leg on a treatment table at Hydrathletics.

Why Try Fascial Stretch Therapy?

Embrace increased flexibility, injury recovery, stress relief, and posture improvement. FST offers a comforting, full-body stretch experience while you wear your favorite comfy clothes!

What to Expect

Lie back and relax during your session. Afterward, revel in improved movement and a light, refreshed feeling. You might experience mild soreness, akin to a workout, for up to 48 hours. Dress comfortably—opt for shorts, gym clothes, or relaxed wear (no jeans, please!) for your ultimate comfort.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves the insertion of very thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to help support the body’s natural balance and healing processes.  Traditional Chinese Medicine views health as a balance of energy flow throughout the body, and acupuncture is used to help restore and support balance.

When Acupuncture Helps

Modern acupuncture is commonly used to help reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, promote relaxation and support overall physical and emotional wellness.

What to Expect

Your first session begins with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals. Needle insertion is generally painless—most people feel little to no discomfort. Sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes, and many people leave feeling deeply relaxed. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your arms, legs, and back.

Ostepathy

Osteopathy is a hands-on therapy that focuses on the relationship between the body’s muscles, joints, nerves, and overall function. Osteopathic practitioners assess how different parts of the body work together and how imbalances, tension, or restricted movement may contribute to pain, discomfort, or reduced ability.

Treating the Whole Body

Osteopathy aims to treat the body as a whole rather than focusing only on isolated symptoms, helping patients improve function, balance, and quality of life.

What to Expect

Each session is tailored to your needs. Treatment uses gentle manual techniques such as stretching, soft tissue massage, joint mobilization, and movement-based therapy to help improve mobility, reduce pain and tension, support circulation, encourage the body’s natural healing processes, and promote overall wellness. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing so you can move easily.

Nurse Practitioner

Our Nurse Practitioner provides accessible, patient-centred care to help you address a range of healthcare needs in a timely and convenient way. Sessions are collaborative: your practitioner takes the time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and make sure you get the care, testing, documentation, and follow-up support you need.

How a Nurse Practitioner Can Help

Services include prescription refills for eligible non-narcotic medications, prescriptions related to Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) benefits and programs, requests for diagnostic testing including blood work, lab tests, and medical imaging, assessment of minor illnesses and injuries, and assistance with medical forms and documentation including select VAC medical questionnaires.

What to Expect

Your appointment is a conversation. Come prepared with a list of your current medications, any recent test results, and your questions. Your practitioner will take the time to work through your concerns and make sure you leave with a clear next step.

Somatic Breathing

Somatic breathwork is a guided wellness practice that combines intentional breathing techniques with body awareness to support emotional balance, stress reduction, relaxation, and nervous system regulation. It focuses on the connection between mind and body, helping you become more aware of physical sensations, tension patterns, and your own capacity for emotional regulation.

Why Try Somatic Breathwork?

Many people use somatic breathwork to help manage stress, anxiety, fatigue, and emotional regulation, and to feel a greater sense of calm, clarity, and connection with their body.

What to Expect

Sessions may incorporate guided breathing exercises, mindfulness, gentle movement, and grounding techniques. You'll be in a comfortable, supported position throughout. You may notice physical sensations, emotional releases, or a deep sense of calm. No experience is necessary — just come as you are.
